The Families First group in South Bretton received an early Christmas present from Cross Keys Homes (CKH), which stepped in when the youth club’s funding came to an end. CKH has agreed funding that will keep the club running until at least March 2021.
Young people have been enjoying activities such as cooking, table tennis, arts and crafts and dancing at CKH’s South Bretton Family and Community Centre, since the group started in 2019.
“It would have been a real tragedy for the project to close,” said Families First Manager Cherry Lester. “We are all so grateful to CKH for making sure the future is rosy!”
CKH Chief Executive Claire Higgins said: “Groups like this do so much to inspire and nurture our young people in our communities. We are thrilled this great work is secure for the foreseeable future.”
