More money for affordable housing

Posted on 27 January 2020

Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Combined Authority’s Housing and Communities Committee has approved funding for 81 affordable homes at three developments in Stilton, Ramsey and Alconbury.

The sites will provide 42, 11 and 17 affordable homes respectively, through a mixture of social rent, affordable rent and shared ownership. At Alconbury, for example, unsold open market homes will be made available for shared ownership, helping more local people to get on the housing ladder.

Funding has also been agreed to unlock 11 affordable homes in Trumpington Meadows in Cambridge, providing affordable housing within 5km of the city centre.
