Evera Homes, a partnership of four of the Homes For Cambridgeshire and Peterborough partners (Cross Key Homes, Flagship Group, The Hyde Group and Longhurst Group) has begun building its first scheme, a 60 home development near Upwood in Huntingdonshire.
The 2,3,4, and 5 bedroom properties will be a mix of outright sale, shared ownership and affordable rent. The first homes are due for completion in summer 2019.
Chair of Evera Homes Claire Higgins said: “I’m delighted that we have started our first development. The fact that 40% of the new homes will be affordable demonstrates our commitment to delivering housing in which local people can afford to live.”
Carol Cairns, Head of Home Ownership and Supply for the South East at Homes England, said: “Working in partnership to share risk and reward on sites, to ensure delivery is in the right places, of the right quality and appropriately addresses local needs, is fantastic.
“I think finding new ways to drive the delivery of homes is really important, so I am pleased to see housing associations working together to find new ways to deliver more homes.”
