Cross Keys Homes retains its Green Award accreditation from Investors in the Environment, for the seventh year running.
Cross Keys Homes (CKH) has been accredited to Investors in the Environment since 2011, achieving the highest Green Award accreditation for the first time in 2014 and retaining it ever since.
“We have adopted the ‘One Planet Framework’ for our environmental strategy, to ensure we continue to reduce our environmental impact,” explained CKH Chief Executive Claire Higgins.
CKH has installed solar PV panels on more than 5,400 of its homes and supported the creation of community gardens, including recycling fly-tipped rubbish to create bug hotels. It has also made a number of improvements to its head office, halving the building’s carbon footprint since 2008.
“The whole CKH team is as passionate as I am that we leave this world a better place for future generations, and I am determined that CKH will blaze a trial as a truly green company,” Claire said. “We will continue to seek new ways to make our communities vibrant, supportive, green places for everyone to live in.”
